Confessions of a Horror Film Obsessive
What are the required constituent parts of a successful horror film?
Blood-thirsty voyeurs and unrepentant fear addicts! What draws us to depictions of terror, frenzied slaughter and things that go bump in the night?
What is the true job of a horror film?
“What's your favourite scary movie…?”
Ever since Benjamin Louche saw his first ‘X’ film (on pirate VHS) at the tender age of 11, he’s been in search of the next fright, the next heart-racing, goosebump-inducing, soul-sucking, horrific experience.
Which begs the question: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HIM?
Find out some, if not all, of the answers to that question in an evening of song, scares and spookiness from this award-winning cabaret artiste, all designed to amuse, unnerve and entertainT.
Each ticket comes with a takeaway list of perhaps lesser-known recommended horror film titles to seek out and enjoy at home!
But be aware, and BEWARE, in the basement of Fontaine’s cocktail bar, Stoke Newington, no one can hear you scream…
